Canto Ostinato XL Festival in the Beurs van Berlage Amsterdam to see a live performance of Simeon Ten Holt's masterpiece Canto Ostinato.
Though a lot of people I speak don't know the music, I think a lot of you dreamy bloggers would LOVE this!

It's a sequence of a constant repeating piano theme that's played in a hypnotizing way by four piano's at the same time, and it varies from very subtile till dramatic.
I think this piece is like life itself, with all the tiny happy moments and the sad ones, the euphoria and the sorrow that comes to us all. I think one can even recognize the change of seasons in it, or the way we breathe in and out, the way we slowly grow into wise old persons.
At the end of this piece the music stops unexpectedly, like life itself does for most of us.
